1St. Joseph’s English Medium Higher Secondary School, Aloor, observed International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (Anti-Drug Day) with a series of awareness activities aimed at educating students on the dangers of drug abuse and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
The program began with a special assembly, where students took an anti-drug pledge to stay away from all forms of substance abuse and to spread awareness among peers. Teachers addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of making wise choices and building strong moral values.
As part of the observance, the school organized:
Awareness talks led by faculty and local health officials.
Poster-making and slogan-writing competitions highlighting the theme “Life Is Beautiful Without Drugs.”
Street play and short skit performances by students demonstrating the harmful effects of drug addiction and the importance of self-discipline.
